Consent to Process Customer Private Information i.t.o the Protection of Personal Information Act 2013
The enactment of the General Data Privacy Regulations in the EU has resulted in South Africa introducing its own privacy laws, the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act) as from 1 July 2021.
The purpose of this legislation is to ensure that businesses and individuals are protected from the unlawful processing of personal information where consent has not been given. This is to confirm that Prestige Credit Group is compliant with all requirements regarding the POPI Act and undertakes to protect all client information and respect their privacy.
